How To Play For Honor Offline
For Honor was unveiled at E3 2015 as a four-on-four melee battle game in which Knights, Samurais, and Vikings smack the holy hell out of each other with various sorts of vicious-looking blunt and bladed weapons. It had fairly obvious echoes of games like War of the Roses and Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, albeit on a smaller scale, including what appeared to be a very clear focus on multiplayer. In a recently-released “Producer Highlights” video, however, Producer Stephane Cardin confirmed that there will be a full solo campaign as well.
The existence of a single-player mode, as noted by IGN, was actually touched on at E3, but went largely unnoticed and hasn't really come up since. “One of the big questions we receive in feedback is about the solo campaign,” Cardin says in the video. “We said that we will have a solo campaign, and I can promise you that we will have a solo campaign. It's one of the key subjects we are working on, on the floor. I can't wait to show stuff to you guys, and we'll do it as early as possible, like we did with the multiplayer.”
For Honor isn't going to be a fantasy game—no spell casting, dragon-slaying, or other such shenanigans—and so my guess is that we'll get three separate campaigns, one for each warrior, rather than something that throws them all into a bag and then shakes it up. Anything's possible, though; after all, Cardin also thinks the Canadiens are going to win the Cup in 2016.

I bought this game because I read you can play offline? My Tom Clancy Splinter Cell Blacklist launches fine in offline mode. Ghost Recon Wildlands will not launch in offline mode. Split-screen functionality has been cut from Ubisoft's upcoming medieval brawler, For Honor.
'We decided this week to cut the split-screen,' said producer Stephane Cardin in an in-house interview primarily about the game's closed alpha (below, quote begins at 4:24).
'It was a feature that we loved, but, when we looked at what needs to be done to support online co-op, for us it was critical to make a decision now so we can polish all the features at the AAA level and make sure that we have the most amazing experience.' Just friends by sumrit shahi pdf.
In a 2015 interview with Gamespot, creative director Jason Vandenberghe explained his feelings on the importance of the feature:
'Super-required, because this is a game about fighting with weapons, split-screen [is] absolutely a key feature for us [..] You want sit on the couch and beat up your buddy, that's the thing.'

EGM Now reported earlier this year that Ubisoft France managing director John Parkes had made clear that 'all modes [will be] available in split-screen'.
Given Cardin's comments appear to focus on online co-op, it's not currently clear whether split-screen has been removed from the entirety of the game, or just its online component. We have contacted Ubisoft for comment.

For Honor is due for release on February 14, 2017, for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It was among the first games to announce a PS4 Pro upgrade mode.
