Sabda Alam (Nature's Order) is a 1978Indonesian album released by Musica Studios. It is Chrisye's second studio album and his first after signing with Musica. The album was written in collaboration with Guruh Sukarnoputra. It was well received and, in 2007, was listed by Rolling Stone Indonesia as one of the 150 best Indonesian albums of all time. Actually, this album was scheduled to be released in August 1977, but it was officially released in early 1978
Production[edit]
After the success of Badai Pasti Berlalu, Chrisye was approached by Amin Wijaya of Musica Studios and offered a chance to record an album. Chrisye agreed upon the condition that he would be given creative freedom. Musica agreed to those conditions. Chrisye later recalled receiving lots of support from Amin during the recording of Sabda Alam.[1]
Sabda Alam was recorded in Musica's studios in Jakarta, Indonesia using double tracking.[1] It featured Chrisye on vocals, guitar, and bass, Jockie Soerjoprajogo on acoustic piano and keyboard, and Keenan Nasution on drums and percussion, with arrangement by Chrisye and Yockie.[2]Guruh Sukarnoputra, who previously collaborated with Chrisye on Guruh Gipsy,[1] contributed three songs.[2]
The songs were written and produced in a similar style as Badai Pasti Berlalu, with romantic and melancholic songs. Recording took place from morning until night; Chrisye eventually fell ill from the effort. During the recording, executives from Musica were not allowed to enter, even though they requested it often.[1]

Chrisye ???
Who doesn't know Indonesian legendary musicians by creating music that is popular in the 80s and 90s.
The original name is Chrismansyah Rahadi (born Christian Rahadi in Jakarta, September 16, 1949 - died in Jakarta, March 30, 2007 at the age of 57), better known by his stage name Chrisye, a singer and songwriter from Indonesia.
Born in Jakarta from a Chinese-Indonesian family, Chrisye became interested in music while still young. While still studying in high school, Chrisye played bass guitar in a band he formed with his brother, Joris. In the late 1960s he became a member of the band Sabda Nada (which later changed its name to Gipsy). In 1973, after taking some time off, he followed the band to New York to play music. After returning to Indonesia for a short time, he returned to New York with another band, namely The Pro's. After returning to Indonesia, in 1976 he collaborated with Gipsy and Guruh Sukarnoputra to record the indie album Guruh Gipsy.
After the success of Guruh Gipsy, in 1977 Chrisye produced two of his best works, namely 'Lilin-Lilin Kecil' written by James F. Sundah as well as the soundtrack album of Storm Surely Passing. The success of these two works made Chrisye recruited by Musica Studios, which with the record company released its first solo album, Sabda Alam, in 1978. During his career of more than 25 years he produced 18 other solo albums, and played in one film: As beautiful Rembulan (1981).
Chrisye died at his home in Jakarta on March 30, 2007 after years of suffering from lung cancer. He left behind his wife, Gusti Firoza Damayanti Noor, and four children.
